Caravans, Camper & Motorhome Transport
Transporting your caravan, camper, or motorhome
Many people can’t imagine how tough it is to move a caravan, camper, or motorhome from one country to another. When it comes to moving a caravan, camper, or motorhomes overseas, there are a lot of considerations that you must keep in mind. And because of that, you would probably contemplate selling everything to avoid being stressed about the move.
However, understanding that international relocation doesn’t need to be stressful, you just need the right relocation specialist that will help you. At Peach Transitions, we pride ourselves on excellence and we ensure that we deliver market competitive value.
Importing caravans and motorhomes has been increasingly popular in recent years as duties have been reduced and a wider selection of manufacturers has become accessible. We continue to ship an increasing number of caravans and motorhomes and can advise you on the best delivery option for your particular model. The size of the caravan or motorhome you want to import will determine whether you use RoRo or containerisation, so please call us to discuss, or simply click the quote option below.
Motorhomes and caravans are generally transported overseas on a RoRo vessel, which is completely secured on the lower deck. It helps to safely transport the caravans or motorhomes across international borders, away from the impacts of the sea, such as rain and wind. With our shipping services, you can rest assured that your motorhome or caravan transport to another country will be safe and will arrive in great condition.
Caravans will be towed onto the vessel by professional equipment at the port and loaded safely onto the vessel’s fully enclosed deck; dimensions will be necessary to acquire a quotation, ideally length, width, and height. Personal belongings are not permitted inside a caravan or motorhome being shipped internationally. If the port handlers or security identify personal belongings in your motorhome or caravan it will not be loaded and further costs may be incurred.
Procedure and Regulations
The shipping lines’ policy when exporting a motorhome or caravan is to ship the vehicle in the same condition as it was manufactured. They will not be held liable or responsible for any personal belongings left in the vehicles.
Depending on the age of your motorhome or caravan, you will need to de-gas (remove gas or propane cylinders) before shipment internationally. If your refrigerator needs to be de-gassed, you’ll need to get a certificate to prove that it’s been completed successfully (our team can assist with this).
